Flush Frog vs toilet tank tablets
This comparison is about delivery method, not declaring every product in one category good or bad. A tank tablet and an overflow-pipe dispenser put chemistry in different parts of the toilet.
The two water paths
In a standard gravity toilet, most refill water goes directly into the tank. A smaller stream travels through the refill tube into the overflow pipe and refills the bowl.
An in-tank tablet dissolves in the reservoir used for flushing. An overflow-pipe dispenser treats the smaller stream intended for bowl refill.

Why toilet manufacturers matter here
Some toilet manufacturers warn against certain in-tank chemical cleaners because prolonged chemical exposure can affect seals or other components, and warranty language can vary. That does not make every tank cleaner identical. Read the instructions for the exact toilet and exact cleaner you use.
Where Flush Frog has an advantage
Its architecture is targeted: it uses water already on its way to refill the bowl. The tank does not need to become the dosing reservoir. It is also easy to see and remove under the lid.
Where a tank tablet is simpler
There is essentially no installation. If the tablet is permitted by your toilet manufacturer and its chemistry fits your needs, simplicity is a real advantage.
Where Flush Frog may not be the right choice
If your toilet lacks an accessible overflow pipe, has a pressure-assist vessel, has very tight clearances, or uses a nonstandard refill system, there may be nowhere to install the dispenser safely. Use the fit guide before buying.
The chemistry still matters
No delivery system makes incompatible chemicals compatible. Follow the cleaning-tablet label, never mix toilet-cleaning products, and follow the toilet manufacturer’s maintenance guidance.
